About ICAA

The International Construction Arbitrators Association

The founders of the International Construction Arbitrators Association (ICAA) are aware that parties, party-nominated arbitrators and even some institutions do not have access to a reliable public list of specialist international construction arbitrators. Particularly since FIDIC stopped publishing a list of arbitrators, the international construction industry has had to rely on word-of-mouth, reputation and good fortune.

By creating and maintaining a list of members who are both experienced international construction professionals and experienced arbitrators, the Association hopes to fill a void and provide a needed resource.

The Association’s members will come from the construction industry, whether as construction professionals or construction lawyers. They will be deeply familiar with FIDIC and other international forms of contract. They will have long experience in ICC and other international construction arbitration. They will come from all over the world. Many will regularly work in languages other than English. In short, they will be eminently suitable choices for arbitrators in international construction disputes.
