Sue Kim is a Chartered Quantity Surveyor (FRICS), Quantum Expert (RICS and the Academy of Expert accredited) and Adjudicator with more than 20 years' experience in construction and infrastructure projects (ranging from USD 0.5 million up to USD 20 billion) in the UK, Europe, the Middle East, Asia, Africa, South America and Australia. Sue is a Senior Director in SOCOTEC Forensics & Advisory Expert Witness team based in London. Sue speaks fluent Korean (native) and English.

She has been instructed as Quantum Expert Witness in litigation, international arbitration and adjudication for disputes in relation to the valuation of variations and claims for prolongation, disruption, defective works, termination and professional indemnity. She has been recommended by Lexology (previously, Who’s Who Legal) in four categories: Consulting, Construction, Transportation and Arbitration Experts (Sue Kim - SOCOTEC Advisory Ltd - Experts - Lexology).

Sue has been appointed as adjudicator by the CIArb, TECSA, CEDR, CIC, the RICS (Consumer Dispute) and UK Adjudicators. She is also a member of international arbitral institution panels (SIAC, AIAC, KCAB, SCCA, VIAC, THAC, AIADR, QICCA and CIArb (BAS)). In 2020, she was called to the Bar of England and Wales by the Honourable Society of the Middle Temple. Currently, she serves as a Committee Member of the CIArb (London), SCL (UK), SCL (Korea), Adjudication Society (UK) and ICE Dispute Resolution (CPD).

Sue holds a MSc in Construction Law and Dispute Resolution, a BSc (Hons) degree in Quantity Surveying and Diplomas in Law, Bar Professional Training, International Arbitration and Adjudication. She is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators (FCIArb), Fellow of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (FRICS), practicing Member of the Academy of Experts (MAE) and RICS Registered Expert Witness.
