Dušan Cvetković is a civil engineer and construction law professional specialising in international construction disputes, claims, and alternative dispute resolution. With more than 15 years of experience on major civil engineering and water-infrastructure projects across the Western Balkans and Central Asia, he has worked through the full project lifecycle in roles including Site Engineer, Quantity Surveyor, Construction Manager, Branch Manager, and Contract & Claims Specialist.

Dušan has extensive experience in adjudication and dispute boards (DAB/DAAB/DB), acting both as adjudicator and as counsel/quantum expert on standing and ad-hoc boards for large infrastructure and utility projects. He has also participated in numerous international arbitrations under ICC and UNCITRAL Rules, including disputes connected to sewerage networks, wastewater treatment plants, water supply systems, navigation and transport projects, and joint-venture or consortium arrangements. Across these matters, he has supported parties and tribunals in proceedings, and he acts as an expert witness in arbitration when required.

He holds a BSc in Civil Engineering from the University of Belgrade and an LL.M. in Construction Law and Arbitration from Robert Gordon University (UK). He also completed a Professional Diploma in Forensic Schedule Analysis, strengthening his capability in delay causation, responsibility assessment, and quantification of financial consequences.

Dušan is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators (FCIArb) and a Member of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (MRICS). He is listed as an arbitrator and/or adjudicator with several dispute-resolution institutions, including the Construction Dispute Resolution Center (CDRC), Dubai International Arbitration Centre (DIAC), and the Russian Arbitration Centre (RAC), and remains active in bodies such as the Dispute Review Board Foundation and the Association of Consulting Engineers of Serbia (ACES).

Alongside practice, Dušan is deeply engaged in professional education and knowledge-sharing. He is an ACES-accredited trainer and regularly delivers FIDIC trainings and workshops on contract administration, claims, dispute avoidance, and dispute board practice. He is also a frequent speaker at regional and international conferences and webinars.

Since 2024, Dušan has served as a member of FIDIC Task Group 19, contributing to the FIDIC Handbook for Practitioners for the 1999 and 2017 editions, and he has been a Board Member of the CDRC since 2025.

Dušan brings a dual engineering-legal perspective and a pragmatic, project-focused approach to dispute resolution. He is committed to promoting fair, technically sound, and efficient outcomes in international construction disputes, and to developing his practice as an international construction arbitrator and dispute board member.
