Nina Lauber-Thommesen is an independent arbitrator based in Geneva, Switzerland. The strength of her experience and expertise comes from a unique combination of Nordic legal background, extensive practice in Switzerland and with Swiss law, and solid experience in international dispute resolution (more than fifteen years).
Nina has acted as presiding arbitrator, co-arbitrator and sole arbitrator (more than twenty cases) and as counsel to parties and tribunal secretary (combined more than fifty cases) in international commercial arbitrations involving a broad spectrum of contract types such as works and services contracts, joint venture agreements, distribution and sales contracts, shareholder and share purchase agreements, and agency and licensing agreements, as well as a wide range of industries, in particular construction, energy, joint ventures and industrial cooperation, M&A, banking and finance, agency and distribution, sales, licencing, and sports.
Nina’s arbitration experience spans most arbitration major rules, including the ICC Rules, the LCIA Rules, the Swiss Rules, the SCC Rules, the DIA Rules, the FAI Rules and the UNCITRAL Rules, and a variety of national arbitration acts and substantive laws from the civil law and common law traditions.
