Jaime Gray has been leading construction law and dispute-resolution matters in engineering and construction in Peru and across Latin America for over 30 years.


He is a founding partner at NPG Abogados, a construction law boutique located in Lima, Peru.


Jaime studied Law at the University of San Martín de Porres and obtained a master’s degree in business law at the Peruvian University of Applied Sciences.


He was a Co-Chair of the International Construction Projects Committee of the International Bar Association (IBA) and the first President of the Peruvian Society of Construction Law (Peruvian SCL). More recently, Jaime has served as the First Region 4 President of the Dispute Resolution Board Foundation (DRBF).


Jaime has served in many construction arbitration panels in Peru and abroad. He began serving as an appointed arbitrator in approximately 2000.


Jaime has participated in several of the most important construction projects in Peru related to mining, transportation (ports, airports and highway structures), buildings (5-star hotels, office buildings, hospitals, malls, etc.), and energy (hydroelectric and thermal power plants, transmission lines, etc.) developed in Peru and abroad. Some of these projects have employed FIDIC contract forms, others NEC contract forms, and others ad hoc contract forms.


Nowadays, Jaime is a member of many dispute boards and arbitration tribunals in Peru and abroad.


Finally, it is worth mentioning that Jaime has lectured on construction law issues at various universities in Peru, Chile and other countries.
