Wendy is the a member of the Construction Practice Group and Managing Partner of Cozen O’Connor’s Boston, MA Office. Her practice focuses on the litigation and arbitration of domestic and international construction disputes, including mediation and arbitration before the American Arbitration Association (AAA), JAMS, LCIA, International Centre for Dispute Resolution (ICDR) and ICC.  Wendy has represented both general contractors (including several large international EPC contractors), owners/developers, design professionals and subcontractors. She is an experienced trial attorney, having handled dozens of construction disputes, several involving claims in excess of $1 billion.


In addition to serving as an advocate, she regularly sits as an arbitrator and mediator and is a member of the panel of neutrals of the AAA National Construction Panel, the AAA Mega Projects Panel (qualified to hear cases > USD1B), ICDR, CPR (Construction, Insurance Policy Holder Coverage, and Boston at Large ADR Panels), LCIA, and ICC and is a Member of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators. She is regularly appointed as Chair, but has also served as a wing arbitrator in many arbitration proceedings.


Matters handled have involved the following types of projects: traditional power plants, cogen facilities, oil refineries, oil terminals, hydroelectric power (hydropower) plants, onshore wind, offshore wind, solar power, LNG facilities, power transmission lines, schools, dormitories, prisons, chemical facilities, infrastructure (bridges, rail and offshore), residential/condo, healthcare facilities and office/commercial buildings.  She is also very experienced with handling insurance coverage disputes arising out of construction projects, including builders risk, professional liability/E&O, general liability, additional insured and OCIP/CCIP issues.


Wendy is a Past Chair of the ABA Forum on Construction Law, a Fellow of the American College of Construction Lawyers, inductee to the National Academy of Construction, member of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators (former co-chair of the CIArb Boston Chapter and former Board Member of the CIArb North American Branch), AAA National Construction Dispute Resolution Committee (former Chair), Board Council of the AAA (former), Board Member of Women in Construction and National Board Development Committee of Girl Scouts USA (former). For the past ten years, she has been named in the International Who's Who of Construction Law and was recently named by Massachusetts Lawyers Weekly as a Massachusetts Lawyer of the Year and Go To Construction Lawyer.
