Yann Schneller is a French lawyer and the founder of Darci, a law firm entirely dedicated to international construction contracts. Trained in both civil and common law, he studied in France and England, earning an MSc in Construction Law and Dispute Resolution from King’s College London with merit. His dual background allows him to understand and navigate the different legal approaches within which construction contracts operate.


Yann has acted as President of the Tribunal, Co-Arbitrator, Sole Arbitrator or Counsel in more than 50 international arbitrations, both ad hoc and under the rules of major arbitration centres. He conducts arbitration proceedings in English and French. Yann’s experience spans Europe, the Middle East, Africa, Asia and North America, and encompasses a wide array of projects, including nuclear facilities, roads, railways, high and low-rise buildings, hydroelectric plants, water treatment plants, and LNG facilities, among others.


Deeply engaged in both academic and practical fields of dispute resolution and construction law, Yann regularly delivers trainings and lectures to construction professionals, in-house counsel, dispute resolution specialists, governments officials and law students on topics related to international arbitration, construction law, and FIDIC contracts. He is a trainer at the FIDIC Academy and a visiting lecturer at Paris-Pantheon-Assas University, King’s College London,  Aarhus University, the University of Stuttgart, the University of Hanoi, and the University of Saint-Quentin en Yvelines.


Yann is a FIDIC Certified Trainer and Adjudicator, included on FIDIC President’s List of Approved Dispute Adjudicators. He is also a member of the FIDIC Dispute Avoidance and Adjudication Forum Standing Group, a French Delegate to the ICC Commission on Arbitration and ADR, a member of the Working Group on Expedited Arbitration at the ICC Commission on Arbitration and ADR, a member of the Society of Construction Law (SCL) UK, a representative of the Private and Public Contracts Commission at SCL France, a member of the ICC Institute of World Business Law, and a member of the International Construction Projects Committee of the International Bar Association.
